If the email was deleted automatically from your account, it is possible that someone has gained unauthorized access. Please take the following steps immediately to secure your Microsoft account:
- Reset your Microsoft account password.
Use the link below to reset your password:
https://account.live.com/ResetPassword.aspx
- Enable two-factor authentication.
Sign in to your Security Settings page below:
https://account.live.com/proofs/Manage
- Make sure you have at least three verification methods active.
- Enable two-factor authentication.
- Add Microsoft Authenticator as a verification method.
- Sign out everywhere.
On the same Security Settings page, select "Sign Out Everywhere".
Microsoft will sign you out of your account from all trusted devices, possibly within 24 hours.
Once you have secured your account, please follow these steps:
- Clear your browsing history, cache, and cookies.
- Go to https://outlook.live.com/ and sign in with your Microsoft account.
- Locate the suspicious email and either report it or right-click and select "Move to Junk".
- You can also create a rule with specific keywords so that any emails containing those keywords are automatically moved to your Junk folder.
To create a rule go to (Go to Outlook settings > Mail > Rules)
