Corrupted file

This was my dads USB drive, and he told me that he doesn't want itand i can format it if i want.Therefore i tryed to format it but it won't format. I tryed codes and other things and they didn't work either. When i just scanned it (since scan and fix doesn't work) it has 4096 February daily report and 5. Gypsum board payment corrupted and they don't have any files inside them. So somebody help me i really want to use that Driver!!!

    Please Note, this process will delete all data on the USB drive.

    Right click your Start Button and open Disk Management.

    Expand the bottom pane so all drives are visible in that pane.

    In the bottom pane, right click the partition on that USB and select 'Delete Volume'

    When that process completes, the USB should be marked as 'Unallocated Space'.

    Right click the 'Unallocated Space' and select 'New - Simple Volume' and accept the defaults, then wait for that process to complete.
