The error indicates an ODBC/driver problem on Windows 11, not with Office or SQL Server itself. Use these steps:

    1. Update Windows and device drivers
      • On Windows 11: Select Start → type SettingsWindows UpdateCheck for updates → install all available updates. This also helps ensure compatible drivers are installed.
      • If the issue persists, update key device drivers (especially video, printer, mouse, keyboard) from the PC or device manufacturer’s website, as incompatible drivers can cause application failures.
    2. Remove or disable third‑party antivirus/firewall temporarily
      • Non‑Microsoft antivirus or firewall software can interfere with installers and ODBC components.
      • Uninstall non‑Microsoft antivirus from Control Panel → Programs → Programs and Features, then retry the software installation.
      • If using a third‑party firewall, temporarily disable it following the vendor’s instructions, then test the install.
    3. Clean up and reinstall the software
      • Uninstall the problematic software completely from Control Panel → Programs and Features.
      • Restart the PC.
      • Run the installer again as an administrator (right‑click the installer → Run as administrator).
      • If the software uses a specific ODBC driver (for example, an older Microsoft Access ODBC driver), reinstall or repair that driver using the software vendor’s instructions.
    4. If the installer is a vendor “Setup Assistant”
      • If the error appears inside a custom Setup Assistant (not a standard Microsoft installer), contact the software vendor and ask them to troubleshoot the “ODBC Microsoft Access” error on Windows 11. Only the vendor can confirm which exact ODBC driver/version their installer expects and whether it supports Windows 11.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, collect the exact error text and screenshots and provide them to the software vendor’s support so they can verify Windows 11 compatibility and required ODBC components.
