use @ as text in excel

I am trying to use @ as text in excel and it keeps giving me formulas or mail

To use @ as plain text in Excel instead of triggering formulas or mail:

1. Type a leading apostrophe:

   • The apostrophe will not show in the cell; Excel will treat everything after it as text.
