I can no longer make purchases on The WSOP Game I have always played, after recently updating my method of payment. I have checked several times and the information on the new card has been input correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Follow these steps to troubleshoot being unable to buy items in WSOP after changing the payment method, focusing on Windows 11 and Microsoft Store payments:

    1. Verify the payment method in Microsoft account
      • Go to the Payment options page: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments
      • Confirm the new card is listed, not expired, and shows no warnings.
      • Ensure the card details (number, expiration date, name, billing address including city, state, ZIP/postcode) exactly match the card and bank statement.
    2. Check for overdue Microsoft subscriptions or account issues
      • Go to the Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services/
      • Make sure there are no past-due subscriptions. If there are, resolve those first, as overdue balances can block new purchases.
      • Confirm the account is not locked or suspended by checking the guidance under account lock/suspension in the Store troubleshooting article.
    3. Confirm the card is valid and accepted
      • Ensure the card is issued in the same country/region as the Microsoft account/tenant; cards from a different region may be blocked.
      • If the card was declined, double-check details and available funds, then try again. If it continues to be declined, contact the bank to check for:
        • Fraud/security blocks
        • International or online transaction restrictions
        • Card not yet activated or temporarily blocked
    4. Check Microsoft Store–specific issues
      • Open Microsoft Store on Windows 11.
      • Make sure signed in with the same Microsoft account used on the Payment options page.
      • Try another purchase in the Store (for example, a free app or a low-cost item) to see if the issue is general or only with WSOP.
      • Ensure antivirus or security software is not blocking pop-ups or payment confirmation windows, as this can prevent the payment flow from completing.
    5. If WSOP purchases go through Microsoft Store
      • If WSOP chips/items are billed as Microsoft Store in-app purchases, the above checks apply directly.
      • If the game uses its own payment system (browser overlay or external payment page), still verify the card with the bank and confirm there are no blocks on Microsoft or gaming transactions.
    6. If the problem persists
      • Use the Microsoft Store guided support troubleshooter from the Store buying issues article to step through targeted checks.
      • If the card works elsewhere but not in Microsoft Store, contact the bank and mention repeated declines with Microsoft; then contact Microsoft Store support via the guided support link in the Store troubleshooting article.
