Problem with minecraft

I have minecraft on my switch and i wanna get it on here for free like everyone else. Multiple trusted scorces said i could but i dont know how.

    Hello Travis Seeto,

    Unfortunately, the information you came across isn't quite accurate. Minecraft licenses are tied to each platform individually, so owning the game on Switch doesn't grant a free copy on PC. The two are sold through different stores (Nintendo eShop and Microsoft Store) under separate licensing agreements, and there has never been a Switch-to-PC transfer offered.

    This is confirmed in the official Minecraft Help article on installing Minecraft on a new device:

    "When you get a new device, you can install and play Minecraft if you previously bought Minecraft for that platform and use the same account to sign in."

    So, a Switch purchase only entitles you to play on Switch, and it doesn't carry over to PC.

    If you'd rather not pay for the game outright on PC, the closest legitimate option is Xbox Game Pass for PC, which includes both Bedrock and Java editions while your subscription is active.
