    Use an alternative sign-in method

    On the login screen, click:

    • “I can’t use my Microsoft Authenticator app right now”

    or “Sign in another way”

    Then try:

    SMS code

    Email recovery code

Backup codes (if you saved any)

If you are still logged in anywhere

Check ANY device where you might still be signed in:

    Old phone

    Old laptop browser

    Xbox / Microsoft Store

If you find a logged-in session:

    Go to: https://account.microsoft.com/security

    Update/remove Authenticator

    Add a new phone/email

If you are NOT logged in anywhere (most important case)

You cannot bypass the Authenticator prompt manually.

    You must use recovery:

    Fill it carefully with:

    • Old passwords
    • Xbox purchases / order history
    • Gamertag or subscriptions
    • Any recovery email/phone you had before

If it says “needs code from Authenticator”

    That means:

    • The account is still protected

Microsoft will NOT show code anywhere else unless another method is set up

So recovery form is your only path.
