Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
For charges related to a Microsoft 365 or Copilot Pro subscription purchased through Apple (App Store), refunds must be requested directly from Apple, not Microsoft.
If the subscription was bought in the Apple App Store:
- Go to Apple’s refund support page and submit a refund request for the specific subscription charge.
- Provide details that the subscription will not be used and any supporting information Apple requests.
- Wait for Apple’s decision; only Apple can approve or deny refunds for App Store purchases.
If the subscription was bought directly from Microsoft (not via Apple):
- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same Microsoft account used for the purchase.
- Locate the subscription (for example, Copilot Pro or Microsoft 365), select Manage, then select Cancel and follow the on-screen steps.
- If cancellation occurs within the eligible refund window, a refund is processed according to the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale.
- If there is no option to cancel or turn off recurring billing, verify whether the subscription was actually purchased from a third party (such as Apple) and, if so, manage cancellation and refund with that third party.
If the subscription is confirmed as an Apple App Store purchase and Apple has denied the refund, Microsoft cannot override Apple’s decision; further escalation must be done through Apple’s support channels.
