Scree recorder_problem

Question

So from the past few years I have been having this problem of screen snipping that if i start screen recording for a few seconds (15) it always says there was an unexpected error pls contact if problem resists but hte problem happens all the time. Also this issue needs to be resolved fast for me because the screen snipping is the only good free video recording software in the store. Thanks.

Snipping Tool’s screen recording is the recommended built-in option on Windows 11, but when it repeatedly fails with an “unexpected error,” use these alternatives and checks based on supported tools:

1. Use Xbox Game Bar for screen recording
   1. Press Windows logo key + G to open Xbox Game Bar.
   2. In the Capture widget, select Start recording.
   3. Reproduce what needs to be recorded.
   4. Select Stop recording when done.
   5. Clips are saved in the default Captures folder and can be viewed from the Game Bar gallery.
2. Use Clipchamp for screen recording
   1. On Windows 11, search for Clipchamp from the Start menu.
   2. Open Clipchamp and use its screen recording feature to capture the screen.
   3. If Clipchamp is not installed, install it from Microsoft Store using the Clipchamp entry.
3. Reinstall or update Snipping Tool
   1. Open Microsoft Store and search for Snipping Tool.
   2. If it is not installed, install it; if it is installed, check for updates.
   3. After updating, try the Record option again.
4. If Snipping Tool continues to fail, rely on these supported alternatives
