Windows 11 Approved Processor list

Question

Hi everybody, my laptop use Intel i7 6700 HQ 2.60 Ghz, it is in the list of compatible processors, but the integrity check tool excludes it. Why ?

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do here on these forums to help you with your processor, let me give you some more information about the processor requirements for Windows 11.

Microsoft first announced that they would only support 8th Generation of Intel processors and newer, however they did later start supporting some of the 7th Generation processors.

The processor you are using is a 6th Generation processor, you can check the compatible list of Intel processors for Windows 11 over here:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

The list is still being updated so it is not final, more processors will surely be supported in the near future, for now your processor is unfortunately not in the supported list.

You can always send feedback by using the Feedback Hub app and file a report and request your processor to be supported.

Another option is to upgrade your processor to a supported one.

Some 7th generation and all 8th generation processors are supported for Windows 11. It seems your Intel i7 6700 HQ is not supported for Windows 11 you can check the below link which is an updated one.
