how do I check to see if office 2024 was installed on my computer?

Open the Settings App.

Then go to Apps - Installed Apps, and scroll down to find apps starting with the word Microsoft, do you find Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365 listed there?

If this is a new PC and you are wondering if Microsoft Office came free with your new PC, open the Store app, click Library on the left, at the top of the resulting window, is there an 'Included with this Device' section with Microsoft Office listed there.

To check if Office 2024 (or any Office/Microsoft 365 apps) is installed on Windows:

1. Select Start.
2. Select Settings > Apps.
3. In Apps (or Installed apps), scroll through the list and look for entries such as:
   • Office 2024 (for example, Office Home 2024, Office Home & Business 2024), or
   • Individual apps like Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Installed apps appear in an alphabetical list, with the most used apps at the top. If Office 2024 is installed, it will appear there.

Additionally, if an Office app opens, the exact version can be checked from within the app:

1. Open Word or another Office app.
2. Go to File > Account.
3. On the Account page, check the product information to see if it shows Office 2024.
