Regarding azure monitor dashboards

  1. I want to setup a dashboard in azure monitor such that there is one object per VM and the object will go green / red upon the monitored parameters of CPU, Memory, Disk, network, up/down
  2. How do i monitor windows services in azure monitor

    Hi @Dhannani, Altaf ,

    1. I recommend using an Azure Monitor workbook (e.g. VM performance template), customize the counters that you need, use a threshold column rendering option, and make the workbook step pinnable to pin the visualisation to an Azure portal dashboard. See the average column in the below image as an example:

    2. We use a couple of approaches commonly to monitor Windows services:
      a) Change Tracking and Inventory or
      b) Event log e.g. event 7036 with Collect Windows event log data sources with Log Analytics agent
