    Welcome Chris Harris,

I understand how frustrating it can be when you are being prompted for a passkey when signing in, even though you have only used a password before, and you want to find or manage the passkey instead of deleting it.

Before proceeding, I’d like to clarify a couple of points:

    • Are you signing in to a Microsoft account on a web browser, Windows sign-in screen, or an app?
    • Have you previously set up Windows Hello (PIN, fingerprint, or face) or used a phone for passwordless sign-in?
    • Are you currently stuck on the sign-in screen?

Unlike a password, a passkey is a secure cryptographic credential stored on your device and cannot be viewed or retrieved in plain text. If you don’t recall setting one up, it may have been automatically generated when you enabled Windows Hello (such as a PIN or biometric sign-in) or opted into a passwordless sign-in experience.

I look forward to your reply so we can continue working together to address the issue.
