I’ll seeking a key for Windows Server 2025.

I’m reaching out again because we are still waiting for some assistance with the SPLA license keys and access to download the necessary ISO files for our SPLA products. This has resulted in several unlicensed servers on our hosting platform, which is creating a bit of a challenge for our team.

    Hello Parras, Hazel,

For SPLA products like Windows Server 2025, the license keys and ISO downloads are typically provided through the Microsoft Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) or the SPLA reseller portal. If you haven’t already, please log in to your VLSC account and check under “Downloads and Keys.” If the keys are not visible there, it’s often necessary to contact your SPLA reseller directly, as they are responsible for provisioning and distributing the licenses tied to your agreement.

In the meantime, you can continue using your Microsoft account credentials to access the servers, but I recommend resolving the licensing issue quickly to avoid compliance risks. If you encounter errors in VLSC or the portal, opening a support ticket with Microsoft Licensing Support is the fastest way to get the keys reissued.

I hope this guidance helps you move forward. If you find this answer useful, please hit “accept answer” so I know it addressed your concern.

    Jason.

Windows Server 2025 SPLA license keys and ISO download access are obtained only through the appropriate licensing and partner channels, not from technical forums.

For activation of Windows Server 2025 instances that are already properly licensed under volume/SPLA programs, the following keys from official documentation are relevant:

    1. KMS client setup keys (used when activating against an existing KMS host):
      • Windows Server 2025 Standard KMS client key: TVRH6-WHNXV-R9WG3-9XRFY-MY832
      • Windows Server 2025 Datacenter KMS client key: D764K-2NDRG-47T6Q-P8T8W-YP6DF
      • Windows Server 2025 Datacenter: Azure Edition KMS client key: XGN3F-F394H-FD2MY-PP6FD-8MCRC
    2. AVMA (Automatic Virtual Machine Activation) keys for use when the host is properly licensed with Datacenter and AVMA is supported in the scenario:
      • Windows Server 2025 Datacenter AVMA key: YQB4H-NKHHJ-Q6K4R-4VMY6-VCH67
      • Windows Server 2025 Datacenter: Azure Edition AVMA key: 6NMQ9-T38WF-6MFGM-QYGYM-88J4F
      • Windows Server 2025 Standard AVMA key: WWVGQ-PNHV9-B89P4-8GGM9-9HPQ4

These keys do not replace the need for proper SPLA licensing or a valid KMS host; they are only the client-side keys used in those activation models.

For SPLA-specific license keys and ISO download rights (including resolving unlicensed servers on a hosting platform), the supported paths in the provided material are:

    1. Use the Microsoft 365 admin center for volume-licensed products where applicable:
      • Go to BillingYour productsVolume licensing.
      • Use View downloads and keys on the relevant product to obtain media and keys, where available.
    2. If agreements or products are not visible or need to be associated with the tenant:
      • In BillingYour productsVolume licensingView contracts, use Add Agreement/Add License and enter the authorization and license numbers from the SPLA/volume agreement to surface downloads and keys.
    3. If keys or media are still not available or the SPLA agreement is not correctly surfaced, the documented guidance is to work through licensing channels rather than technical channels:
      • Contact the SPLA reseller/Licensing Solution Partner to obtain the correct media and keys and to ensure license compliance.
      • If necessary, submit a case via the admin center Help & Support for volume licensing assistance.

For SQL Server and other server products under volume/SPLA agreements, the documentation notes that many SQL Server builds are “pre-pidded” (key embedded in media) and that keys and media are obtained via the same Billing → Your products → Volume licensing → View downloads and keys flow or via the reseller, not from technical support.

To remediate the current unlicensed state on the hosting platform, the concrete next steps based on the material are:

    1. Ensure the SPLA/volume agreement is correctly associated with the organization in the Microsoft 365 admin center so that downloads and keys appear under Volume licensing.
    2. Use the documented KMS client or AVMA keys only in conjunction with a properly licensed KMS/Datacenter host environment.
    3. Coordinate with the SPLA reseller or Licensing Solution Partner to obtain any missing SPLA keys and ISO media and to confirm that the current deployment matches the licensed entitlements.
