Where are you seeing the disk listed twice in File Explorer, is that in the left navigation pane?
If so, that pane can be very confusing, right click an empty location in the left pane, there are 5 settings on the resulting menu, try toggling on/off each setting to get a view you prefer in that navigation pane, I find disabling all settings except 'Show This PC' is the best setting to use.
