I need to add MAC address on the test report to the list of permitted devices for my wireless router before continuing - It specifically says If MAC address filtering is enabled and you would like to keep it enabled, you must add the MAC address of your pronter (vailable in the Test Report) to the list of permitted devices for your wireless router before continuing

This is not something you add via any of Windows settings. You need to do this via the router's admin portal page or software if it provides one. Do you know the brand and model of your router?

MAC address filtering means the router will only allow devices whose MAC addresses are on its permitted list. The message is telling that the printer’s MAC address is shown in the test report and must be added to that list in the router before continuing.

    General steps:

    1. Find the printer MAC address
      • The test report already shows it (as stated in the message). Note it exactly as shown (format like AA:BB:CC:DD:EE:FF or AA-BB-CC-DD-EE-FF).
    2. Open the router’s admin page
      • On a PC connected to the router, open a web browser.
      • Enter the router’s gateway IP address in the address bar (commonly 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, but use whatever the router uses).
      • Sign in with the router admin username and password.
    3. Locate MAC filtering / access control
      • In the router interface, look for sections like:
        • Wireless → MAC Filtering
        • Wireless → Access Control
        • Security → MAC Filter / Wireless Filter
      • Open the MAC filtering or access control configuration page.
    4. Add the printer MAC address
      • Ensure MAC filtering is set to “Allow only” or similar (not “Block”).
      • Add a new entry/device.
      • Paste or type the printer’s MAC address from the test report.
      • Optionally give it a name (e.g., “Printer”).
      • Save/apply the changes.
    5. Retry the test / connection
      • Power cycle the printer (turn it off and back on) if needed.
      • Re-run the wireless test or reconnect the printer to Wi‑Fi.

If MAC filtering is not required for security in that environment, another option is to temporarily disable MAC filtering in the router, complete the setup/test, and then re‑enable it and add the printer’s MAC address before turning filtering back on.
