The "unknown error" during passkey registration in Microsoft Authenticator is a known issue. The recommended action is:
- Open the Microsoft Authenticator app.
- From the main menu, select Send Feedback → Having Trouble (which has already been done, producing the feedback ID).
- Provide the feedback ID (YCPGXUPU) to Microsoft support so they can review the authentication app logs and diagnose the failure.
If the error persists when trying again, contact Microsoft support and reference that feedback ID so the issue can be investigated by the authentication team.
