Windows Store Error Code 0X80073CF6

I have been trying to download apps from Window Store without success. The Store goes through its install process and ends with an error message, code 0X80073CF6. I hit the retry button, same results. I went through the various error-correction steps on the net and windows support; same results. I was able to download and install one app through winget, however on the other two -- one is not listed and the other I get the same install error. The two apps I'm looking at are Wino Mail and Fluent Weather.

Any suggestions, thank you.

Anthony

I follow the instructions that came from Microsoft AI generated response -- wsreset, app repair, Store update, and some copy and paste commands for terminal. The terminal commands had to do with registering Microsoft Store in my system. I query fixes on the net and basically got the same procedures. I tried your recommendation, same results.

I did go to GitHub and downloaded the zip files. I haven't installed them yet. I did try Store again this morning, I get the same error.

    Thank you for your response.

    Hello,

Could you list the steps that you have taken already to try to fix the issue?

In the meantime, have you tried running wsreset -i in a Terminal window yet? If not, I would recommend doing so. Make sure to run that command in an elevated Terminal window (run as admin).

Hope to hear back from you.

Hello, and I apologize for the late reply.

Please go to the Microsoft Store online (at https://apps.microsoft.com) and then search for the app you need. Then, once you have found, copy the URL at the top search bar and then go to https://store.rg-adguard.net.

Paste the URL into the textbox onscreen and then click the checkbox. This website will fetch files from the Microsoft Store servers and then pass them onto you. You will want to select the link with the package name and then .msixbundle at the end of the file name. In your case, the names of the files would be 26937gabboxl.61420B4860E86_2.1.0.0_neutral_~_28hndksafsg9t.msixbundle for Fluent Weather and 58272BurakKSE.WinoMailPreview_2.0.28.0_neutral_~_mhdqskaa8n2sj.msixbundle for Wino Mail. Click the name of the file and then the file will start downloading.

When you do click the link, you may get a pop up saying that the site doesn't support a secure connection. Click "Continue to site" and the files will start downloading. Once the files finish downloading, you may get a popup saying the file can harm your device. Press keep on both of them. Both of the files come from Microsoft's servers, and are safe to use.

Open the files and you should see a new window open asking if you would like to install the apps, click "Install" and see if you can open the apps afterward.

Let me know how this goes.
