Miscellaneous topics that do not fit into specific categories.
What you’re seeing is usually algorithm + personalization, not something actively being “pushed” at you.
Bing (and the Microsoft Start feed) uses your clicks, browsing history, and engagement to tailor content. That can create a feedback loop where similar topics keep appearing, even if you try to hide them. Over time, this can feel like bias because news aggregators sometimes surface more content from certain types of sources, depending on what’s most available or engaging.
I have a few suggestions:
- Turn off the homepage/news feed (gear icon → disable “Content/Feed”)
- Disable personalization in Edge settings
- Clear cookies/history or use InPrivate mode to reset signals
- Block specific topics or sources in the feed
It’s not necessarily intentional bias, but how the algorithm and your activity interact. Turning off the feed completely is the cleanest solution if you want neutral browsing.
