XBOX Controller does not work when connected

Question

My XBOX Controller sporadically disconnects, and flashes the xbox logo light, connects again, but then shortly after disconnects again. The controller worked as intended a few hours ago, and the night before that. No indication of problems until now.

I have connected a USB to the XBOX Controller to the XBOX System, as well as replaced the batteries, but the same problem persists.

Any help in troubleshooting more, or is the controller out of service?

Hello Jed,

I suggest checking:

1. Check for wireless interference: (like: Bluetooth speakers, phones, Wi-Fi routers if close)
2. Full Reset for Xbox & Controller / Note: Remove batteries for 30 seconds before restarting

Same issue?

Test the controller on another device to isolate the problem + Try a different USB cable (Better One).
