The AI answer gave the Settings path to turn it on.

Some device has a local key (usually on the top row among the function keys) that you can use to turn on and off, if you find it, see if it works. If not, sometimes you might have to hold down Fn key at the same time.

Some models might have a button right above the touchpad you can turn on and off.

These local keys would depend on models, as they may not be always the same.

On Windows 10, the touchpad can usually be turned back on from Settings:

    1. Select Start > Settings > Devices > Touchpad.
    2. Under Touchpad, make sure the main toggle is switched On.
    3. Adjust any other touchpad settings as needed.

If the touchpad still does not work after turning it on in Settings, update or reinstall the touchpad driver:

    1. Open Device Manager.
    2. Look under Human Interface Devices and Mice and other pointing devices for the touchpad.
    3. Right‑click the touchpad entry and choose Update driver. If that does not help, right‑click again and choose Uninstall device, then restart the PC so Windows can reinstall the driver from Windows Update.

If updating or reinstalling the driver does not fix it, contact the device manufacturer for additional help.
