mute key doesn't work

1. Verify the mute key isn’t just lowering volume

• Press the mute key a few times while watching the speaker icon in the taskbar.
• Also try the volume‑up and volume‑down keys to see if the volume slider moves.

4. Make sure the volume slider is above 0 and that the speaker icon does not show as muted.
