    Hi,

Not all desktop computers have Bluetooth built in. Some require a separate Bluetooth adapter or a Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card.

    1. Have you used Bluetooth successfully on this computer before?
    2. In the search bar, type MSINFO32 and hit Enter.

Please share a screenshot of that window.

Please show, BaseBoard Manufacturer and BaseBoard Product.

In the meantime, please try reinstalling Bluetooth driver(if available):

Press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager.

    Expand the Bluetooth section

Right-click on your Bluetooth adapter, then click Uninstall Device.

Ensure the "Delete driver software for this device" is checked

    Restart your computer.

Test the Bluetooth if working or not.

Follow these steps on the Windows 11 desktop to fix Bluetooth that is visible in Settings but not connecting, especially since Windows Update is paused:

    1. Turn Bluetooth off and on
      1. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      2. Turn Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on.
      3. Try pairing the device again.
    2. Make sure the device is in pairing mode and close to the PC
      1. Put the Bluetooth device (mouse, headphones, etc.) into pairing mode according to its manual.
      2. Keep it near the PC while pairing.
    3. Remove and re-add the Bluetooth device
      1. Select Start > Settings > Bluetooth & devices.
      2. Under Audio, Mouse, keyboard & pen, or Other devices, select the problematic Bluetooth device.
      3. Select Remove device.
      4. Select Add device > Bluetooth, then select the device when it appears.
    4. Check the Bluetooth device battery
      1. Fully charge the Bluetooth device or replace its batteries.
      2. Turn it off and back on.
      3. Try pairing again.
    5. Verify Airplane mode is off
      1. Press Windows + A to open Quick settings.
      2. Make sure Airplane mode is turned off.
    6. Update Bluetooth drivers
      1. Select Start > Device Manager.
      2. Expand Bluetooth and select the Bluetooth adapter (may include the word “radio”).
      3. Right‑click it and select Update driver > Search automatically for updated driver software.
      4. Complete the wizard, then restart the PC if prompted and test Bluetooth again.
    7. Turn Windows Update back on and install updates Pausing updates can block new Bluetooth drivers and fixes.
      1. Select Start > Settings > Windows Update.
      2. Resume updates if paused.
      3. Select Check for updates and install all available updates.
      4. Restart the PC and test Bluetooth.
    8. Restart the PC
      1. Select Start > Power > Restart.
      2. After restart, try pairing again.

If Bluetooth still will not connect after these steps, run the Bluetooth troubleshooter from the Get Help app using the “Run the troubleshooter in Get Help” link in the Bluetooth support article, then follow its guidance.
