Dell computer running Windows 10 cannot install update: Windows 10, version 22H2 due to Realtek Bluetooth driver error

I have tried a manual update - going through all these steps

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/updating-to-a-new-version-of-windows-10-on-devices-with-some-driver-versions-for-realtek-bluetooth-radios-059c426a-755f-b88c-5c34-e0d1ecccf9c1#articlefootersupportbridge=communitybridge

which didn't work.

and I have tried going to a Dell site that provided me this executable -

Dell-Wireless-1801-WiFi-and-Bluetooth-Driver_77TM1_WIN_2023.66.1104.2017_A03

which I executed - and it claims to have installed the driver. But the Windows update doesn't get

past 35% complete - giving me the error that the Realtek Bluetooth river is incompatible.

And Windows 10 is no longer receiving support from Microsoft. (Talk about planned obsolescence...)

I'm probably up the proverbial creek, but if someone knows a work around to complete the update

(maybe it'll never be completable because of the de-commissioning of Windows 10?) I'd appreciate knowing.

This is only a back-up computer - so nothing urgent .

Thank you

Is the Bluetooth and WiFi on your PC currently working correctly without needing to install that driver update?
