Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) toggle completely vanished from the Graphics Settings page

Hello, I have an AMD graphics setup running to a FreeSync premium monitor panel. Previously, I had a universal switch for "Variable Refresh Rate" under system graphics preferences. Since updating, that specific slider switch has vanished into thin air, and my games are experiencing awful horizontal screen tearing. I'm looking forward to any advice and solution. Thank you.

    Hi Johnson,

Please follow these three simple steps:

    1. Turn FreeSync back on your monitor (Most important)
    • Use the physical buttons on your monitor to open the OSD settings menu.
    • Find the Gaming or Display section and ensure AMD FreeSync is enabled (On or Extended).

-> Note: If this feature is disabled on your monitor, Windows will automatically hide the VRR button in the system.

    1. Enable it in AMD software
    • Right-click on the home screen -> Open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.
    • Go to Settings in the upper right corner -> Select the Display tab.
    • Find the AMD FreeSync (or FreeSync Premium) option and switch it to Enabled.
    1. Check the refresh rate (Hz)
    • Go to Windows Settings -> System -> Display -> Advanced display.
    • In the "Choose a refresh rate" section, make sure you are selecting the highest refresh rate for your monitor (144Hz, 165Hz, etc.), because sometimes after a Windows update, it will automatically lower the refresh rate to 60Hz, causing a loss of VRR.
