Hi Johnson,
Please follow these three simple steps:
- Turn FreeSync back on your monitor (Most important)
- Use the physical buttons on your monitor to open the OSD settings menu.
- Find the Gaming or Display section and ensure AMD FreeSync is enabled (On or Extended).
-> Note: If this feature is disabled on your monitor, Windows will automatically hide the VRR button in the system.
- Enable it in AMD software
- Right-click on the home screen -> Open AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition.
- Go to Settings in the upper right corner -> Select the Display tab.
- Find the AMD FreeSync (or FreeSync Premium) option and switch it to Enabled.
- Check the refresh rate (Hz)
- Go to Windows Settings -> System -> Display -> Advanced display.
- In the "Choose a refresh rate" section, make sure you are selecting the highest refresh rate for your monitor (144Hz, 165Hz, etc.), because sometimes after a Windows update, it will automatically lower the refresh rate to 60Hz, causing a loss of VRR.
