Send to Mail Recipient command

(Windows 11)

An internet enquiry produced the assurance: "you can send your file (Word, Excel or Publisher) as the actual email message content, not as an attachment". It required the use of the command "Send to Mail Recipient" on the Quick Access Toolbar. But the command "Send to Mail Recipient" does not appear among the "All commands" for the Quick Access Toolbar.

Is this facility - "Send to Mail Recipient" - still current or is the internet response wrong?

    Hi @Philip Gibson,

For your concern, the command Sent to Mail Recipient still exists within Word Quick Access Toolbar, but it has been renamed as Mail Recipient now. In Word, you can go to File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar > choose All Commands and scroll down to find the "Mail Recipient [Sent to Mail Recipient]" command. When moving the mouse on the command, you will also see its longer description like this:

You can make use of Mail Recipient / Send to Mail Recipient (see the instructions from Hendrix-C). Whether the command produces a properly formatted e-mail will depend on many factors, though. The recipient's mail program is one factor.
