The AI is wrong, GitHub exams are now under Microsoft Learn and Pearson Vue

    Contact Pearson Vue support https://home.pearsonvue.com/microsoft/contact

For GitHub Copilot certification payment issues (money deducted, no confirmation, no invoice), resolution must go through official support channels because community forums and general guidance cannot access or fix account, billing, or exam-booking data.

Use these steps depending on what is needed:

    1. Check whether the exam is a GitHub Certification (not Microsoft Certification)
GitHub Copilot is a GitHub Certification exam, not a Microsoft Certification exam delivered by Pearson VUE. Vouchers and processes described for Microsoft Certification exams (for example, Pearson VUE scheduling and discount vouchers) explicitly state they are not eligible for GitHub Certification exams and are handled separately.
    2. Contact GitHub Certification / GitHub Support for exam and billing issues
For any GitHub Certification issues (including missing confirmation, billing problems, or needing proof of purchase), use GitHub’s own support channels:
      • For general GitHub Certification issues and item challenges, use GitHub Zendesk support as described under GitHub Certifications support.
      • For GitHub account, billing, coupon, or product issues, use GitHub Support as described in the GitHub Enterprise benefits guidance.
      Provide:
      • Full name and email used to register for the exam
      • Date/time and approximate time zone of attempted booking
      • Transaction ID and payment method details (but not full card number)
      • Description that payment was taken but the site showed an error and no confirmation email or invoice was received
    3. If the charge appears as a Microsoft subscription or store charge
If the transaction appears under a Microsoft subscription (for example, Copilot Pro or another Microsoft service) rather than a GitHub exam fee, follow the Microsoft subscription refund process:
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in with the same account used for purchase.
      • Locate the relevant subscription or charge, select Manage, then Cancel and follow the steps.
      • If within the refund window, a refund may be processed per the Microsoft Store Terms of Sale.
      • If additional help is needed, contact Microsoft Customer Support via the “How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription” guidance.
    4. If the charge is through a mobile app store
If the payment was made via Google Play or Apple App Store (for example, if Copilot-related services were purchased there), refund and billing issues must be handled by those stores’ support channels, as described in the Copilot Pro refund guidance.

Because GitHub Copilot certification is a GitHub exam, only GitHub’s exam/billing support can either:

    • Re-issue or confirm the exam booking and send a confirmation email, or
    • Reverse or refund the payment if the booking failed.
