When ever I enter a new formula onto a cell it does not change or show me possible formulas to use as I type. To fix this I need to change it from "fx".

    @ANDRESASJ
    According to your description, I have a few questions:

    • Does all workbooks have this problem regardless of the cell formats (Such as Number, General, Date, and etc.)?
      Please ensure the cells are not set as text format.
    • When entering the equal sign and formula in the formula bar, does any error message pop up?
      Please take a screenshot of the cell that you enter formula in.
    • In addition, the input method should use English half-width symbols.
    • It is also recommended to press F9 or Fn+F9 to refresh.
      If this works, please go to File > Options > Formulas, tick the box of "Auomatic" under Caculation options section.
    • If the steps above do not work, please run Excel in safe mode, hold down the Ctrl key, double-click the Excel icon to open Excel, and select “Yes” enable safe mode of Excel. Then create a blank workbook to test whether the function can work normally.
      Safe mode can help us troubleshoot third-party add-ons, as well as startup items.
