I have a microsoft account and get changed every September to renew the subscription. However, I keep getting a monthly charge and do not know what that is for. I have spent trying for hours to speak to someone and there is no person to speak with. How can I cancel any other subscriptions that I have with you??

To cancel unknown or extra Microsoft subscriptions and stop the monthly charge, follow these steps:

    1. Go to the Services & subscriptions page
    2. Find all active subscriptions
      • On the Services page, look for any subscriptions besides the annual Microsoft 365 renewal (for example: extra OneDrive storage, ClipChamp, Xbox, or other Microsoft subscriptions).
      • For each subscription, select Manage.
      • If instead of Manage it shows Turn on recurring billing, that subscription is already set to expire on the date shown and will not be charged again automatically.
    3. Cancel unwanted subscriptions
      • On the subscription’s Manage page, select Cancel (or Upgrade or Cancel, depending on what is shown).
      • Scroll through and follow the on‑screen instructions to complete cancellation.
      • This will stop future recurring charges for that subscription.
    4. If the subscription was purchased through a third party
      • If the monthly charge turns out to be for a Microsoft 365 or other Microsoft subscription purchased via a third‑party retailer (such as Amazon, Best Buy, Google Play, or Apple App Store), Microsoft cannot cancel or refund it directly.
      • In that case, contact the retailer’s customer support to cancel or request a refund. For example:
    5. Check refund eligibility for the monthly charges
      • After cancelling any unwanted subscription, check if the charges are eligible for a refund using the guidance in How to get a refund on a Microsoft subscription. Not all cancellations result in a refund, and eligibility depends on subscription type, timing, and country.
    6. If cancellation still is not possible
      • If there is no option to cancel or turn off recurring billing, verify:
        • That the correct Microsoft account is being used.
        • That there is no overdue balance on the subscription (overdue balances can block cancellation until paid).
      • If the issue persists, use the guided support from Microsoft to get help cancelling.

These steps will allow locating any additional subscriptions tied to the account and cancelling them so the extra monthly charge stops.
