Hello,

I am troubleshooting a Windows machine that is failing to load the graphical login/credential screen. The background wallpaper loads, but the user profile icons and password input boxes are completely missing.

I have accessed the system via the WinRE/USB recovery environment and successfully resolved a critical storage issue, but the system interface remains broken. Here are the exact diagnostic details and the results of the troubleshooting steps already performed: The drive was originally at 0 bytes free. DISM responds with a source error, I've tried making the source the update, a install.wim with correct index, another .wim, and a mounted wim. I have manually purged update caches and temp folders from the recovery environment. The primary partition now has 30 GB of verified free space. I executed an offline SFC scan (sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=C:\Windows). The tool successfully found and repaired corrupted system files. When launching cmd.exe from the offline environment, the console initializes normally, but immediately upon displaying the working directory line (C:\Windows\System32), it outputs the following error automatically: "The system cannot find message text for message number 0x2350 in the message file for application not enough memory are available to process this command" Reinstalling the operating system or performing a custom upgrade install is not an option for me. The existing system image must be repaired in place.
