I renewed my subscription on May 13th and that computer crashed over the weekend. How can I transfer the subscription to a laptop someone gave me?

I just renewed automatically and I have a new laptop. The subscription is under an email that I haven't used in years. No idea how to sign in because the old laptop died and there is no reviving it. Help!

You can try to recover the account. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/accounts-billing/manage/help-with-the-microsoft-account-recovery-form . You can try the Sign-in Helper first (there is a link in the article).
Subscription products can always be installed on multiple machines, so just start your new computer, go to https://account.microsoft.com/services , sign in with your credentials, click Install and complete the steps.
