Onedrive will not open on my MacBook because I get an alert saying that there is a problem with the application files. It worked fine until it didn't. How do I fix this?

May I please know the version of Mac OS installed on your device? And,

Have you tried both the App Store version and the standalone installer from the official OneDrive website?

You can download the standalone installer from this link:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/onedrive/download

If that doesn’t work, please try installing the OneDrive desktop app from the App Store and check if it works.

It appears that several other users have encountered the same issue.

In this situation, you can try installing an earlier version of OneDrive using the link provided.

Thanks for your response. An AI bot at Microsoft had me trying to fix it for hours without success then it was suggested I go see a specialist at The Genius Bar. They too could do nothing. My MacBook Pro was apparently, too old and updates will start to be declined. I walked out with a new MacBook! All good now.
