We have accidently locked ourselves out of my tenant account using Conditional Access. We have also locked out 6 other users from using their email accounts and accessing their SharePoint. We have been unable to access our emails and SharePoint since Friday 5th June 2026. An agent from Microsoft phoned me late Friday evening. Discussed the case with me. He established that it's job for the Microsoft Data Protection / Recovery Team. I have been emailing and calling since Saturday morning, but I got through the support team who then said, we will escalate your case to the Data Protection Team.

We have statutory duties to file documents and paperwork to UK Government agencies, but are unable to do anything. We have six staff members coming to the office, no emails or SharePoint access.

Any advice would be most appreciated.

To resolve this, the recommended approach is to contact the Microsoft Data Protection team. You can reach them by calling Microsoft Customer Service using the phone numbers listed here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

If you have access to another tenant or subscription where you still have Global Administrator privileges, you may also raise a support request from there to get assistance in restoring access to the affected tenant.

Explained point 4 in emails and during calls, but still waiting for the Data Proteciton /Recovery Team. It's been almost FOUR DAYS now.

Not sure if you know, we cannot directly access Mircosoft Data Protection Team. We need to go through your normal support team, who then make contact with that team.

Explained all to them:

Our All Global Admins and users are blocked by Conditional Access.

No one can reach Microsoft 365 admin portals or Entra ID.

Business operations and statutory filings are impacted.

Still waiting for call from the Data Protection Team. It's been almost FOUR days now.
