The Stocks linked data type in Excel is powered by external financial data providers and supports many, but not all, tickers and exchanges. If specific tickers such as BRKY, MUIY, NFLY, ORCY, HOOY, TSMY, UNHY, BLCY, ESXY, WTIY, CPRY, SLMY, URNY, and GLMY are missing or not recognized, it typically means one of the following based on the supported data sources and exchanges:

1. The instruments are not covered by the provider (LSEG Data & Analytics / Refinitiv) used by Excel’s Stocks data type.
2. The instruments are traded on exchanges or markets that are not in the supported exchanges list for Excel’s Stocks data type.
3. The instruments may be very new, delisted, or otherwise not yet/any longer available in the provider’s universe.

Excel cannot retrieve linked stock data for tickers that are not in the supported universe of exchanges and instruments. In such cases, the only workaround is to enter and maintain the data manually or obtain it from another source outside the Excel Stocks linked data type.
