Log into your Microsoft account on this link and check the expiry date on your Microsoft 365 subscription.

    https://account.microsoft.com/services/

If the expiry date is listed correctly for your subscription payment and, you can create and save new Office files and edit existing files, then that notification is appearing in error and there is nothing you need to do, many people are reporting that notification is appearing in the Office apps, it is a problem Microsoft needs to resolve with an update to the Office apps.

Follow these steps to clear the subscription warning in Excel after payment:

    1. Confirm the subscription is active
      1. Close Excel and all other Office apps.
      2. Go to your Services & subscriptions page: https://account.microsoft.com/services.
      3. Sign in with the same Microsoft account used to buy/renew the subscription.
      4. Under Microsoft 365, check that the subscription shows as Active and the expiration date reflects the renewal.
      5. If it shows Expired or Past due, complete the renewal or fix any billing issues shown there.
    2. Verify payment method and any billing problems
      1. Go to your Payment options page: https://account.microsoft.com/billing/payments.
      2. Check for any error or warning on the payment method used for Microsoft 365.
      3. If there is an error, update the card or payment details, then save the changes.
      4. If there is a past-due message on the subscription, select Pay now from the Services & subscriptions page and complete payment.
    3. Restart Office and sign in with the correct account
      1. Reopen Excel.
      2. Go to File > Account.
      3. Under User Information, make sure the signed-in account is the same Microsoft account that shows the active subscription online.
      4. If a different account is signed in, sign out and sign in with the correct one.
    4. If the notification continues
      1. Recheck the subscription status online as above.
      2. If the subscription is active and payment info is correct but Excel still shows a billing warning, contact Microsoft Support for account-specific help: https://support.microsoft.com/contactus/
