Detect Bluetooth ear buds

Windows is not detecting the Beats studio buds via Bluetooth. Any suggestions on how to get windows to detect the earbuds?

Were you able to connect to it before?

Please try to disconnect the Beats earbuds from other devices it had previously connected to and restart the laptop.

Try these steps in order on the Windows 10 PC and the Beats Studio Buds:

1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
   1. On the PC, select Start > Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices.
   2. Ensure the Bluetooth toggle is turned On.
2. Put the Beats Studio Buds into pairing mode
   1. Place the earbuds in their case and open the lid.
   2. Use the pairing procedure from the manufacturer so the buds are in Bluetooth pairing mode (usually indicated by a flashing light). If they are not in pairing mode, Windows will not see them.
3. Add the earbuds as a Bluetooth device
   1. On the PC, in Bluetooth & other devices, select Add Bluetooth or other device.
   2. Choose Bluetooth.
   3. Wait a few seconds and see if the Beats Studio Buds appear in the list. Select them to pair.
4. If the buds appear but will not connect
   1. In Bluetooth & other devices, locate the Beats entry under Audio.
   2. Select it and choose Remove device.
   3. Select Add Bluetooth or other device again, choose Bluetooth, and re-pair the buds.
5. Check the earbuds’ battery and distance
   1. Fully charge the Beats Studio Buds and case.
   2. Turn the buds off and back on, then repeat pairing.
   3. Keep the case with open lid and buds close to the PC (within a few feet) and away from other USB 3.0 devices that might interfere.
6. Restart Bluetooth and Windows
   1. In Settings > Devices > Bluetooth & other devices, turn Bluetooth off, wait 10 seconds, then turn it back on and try pairing again.
   2. If still not detected, restart the PC: Start > Power > Restart, then repeat the pairing steps.
7. Run the Bluetooth troubleshooter
   1. On Windows 10, run the automated Bluetooth troubleshooter in the Get Help app using the Run the troubleshooter in Get Help link from the Bluetooth support article. It will check configuration and driver issues and attempt automatic fixes.

If the Beats still do not appear after all of the above, verify on another device (such as a phone) that the buds can enter pairing mode and be discovered; if they cannot, follow the manufacturer’s reset instructions for the earbuds.
