What makes microsoft 365 EU Family subscription more expensive than the subscription in various other geographies? What additional benefit does it offer to cost almost twice as others.

You cannot do that I am afraid. Buying from an Indian store will fail because your account is set to the NL region. Regarding the data, I am afraid Microsoft has not disclosed the same if the EU data is in EU or kept outside, sorry.

As I mentioned previously, the rates are adjusted based on the currency. Microsoft explicitly prices subscriptions based on the purchasing power of each country’s currency. India has lower PPP so prices are reduced to match affordability.

Another factor is taxation - EU prices include VAT, which is around 25-27%. In India, it is 18% GST.

Perhaps, what you have in mind is the Microsoft 365 Classic subscription which is up to 30% cheaper than the "normal" Microsoft 365 subscription.

Unfortunately, the "Classic" subscription is not explicitly offered, and in some regions might not be available at all.

The only difference between the "Classic" and the "normal" subscription is that the "Classic" does not include Copilot/AI features.

Microsoft 365 Personal is 99.00 €/year. May I know where do you think the price is lower? Certain countries have lower prices based on Purchasing Power of currency.
