To add or delete email accounts in new Outlook for Windows, use the Accounts settings.
Add a new email account in new Outlook
- In Outlook, on the View tab select View settings, or on the File tab select Account info.
- Select Accounts > Your accounts.
- Under Email accounts, select Add Account.
- Either choose a suggested account from the dropdown or type the email address to add, then select Continue.
- If prompted, enter the account password and complete any sign-in or two-factor authentication steps.
- When setup completes, select Done and the new account’s folders (including Inbox) will appear in Outlook.
Delete (remove) an email account in new Outlook
- On the View tab select View settings, or on the File tab select Account info.
- Select Accounts > Your accounts.
- In the Email accounts section, find the account to remove and select Manage next to it.
- Under Account details, select Remove.
- For non-Microsoft accounts (such as Gmail, Yahoo, iCloud, IMAP/POP), choose whether to remove the account from just this device or from all devices where it is added in Outlook.
- When finished, select Return to accounts page or close the Settings window.
Note: Removing an account from Outlook only removes it from the app and deletes its offline cached content on that device; it does not delete the email account itself. To delete the account entirely, use the email provider’s site or tools.
