I just found out that my version (22H2) of Windows 11 Pro is no longer supported. Can it be updated?

    Hi BMV

Yes, you can definitely update it. Windows 11 Pro version 22H2 has reached end of support, but the good news is you can move up to version 23H2 (or whatever the latest release is available to you). Just head into Settings > Windows Update and check for updates it should offer you the upgrade path automatically. If you don’t see it right away, sometimes enabling the “Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available” toggle helps kick things off

Once you’re on the newer build, you’ll keep getting security patches and feature updates without a hitch. Think of it as keeping your system fresh and safe, while also unlocking some of the newer improvements Microsoft has rolled out. If this clears things up for you, please go ahead and hit “Accept Answer” so we know it helped!

Yes. Windows 11 Pro version 22H2 can be updated to a newer, supported version of Windows 11.

Windows 11, version 22H2 for Pro editions is serviced for 24 months from its release date and then stops receiving security updates. Once it reaches end of updates, devices should move to the latest Windows 11 release to stay supported and continue receiving security fixes.

    To update:

    1. Open Settings > Windows Update.
    2. Select Check for updates and install the offered feature update to the latest Windows 11 version.
    3. If no feature update appears, use the supported upgrade methods described in the Windows 11 documentation (for example, deployment tools or installation media) to move to the current Windows 11 release.

After upgrading to the latest Windows 11 version, the device will resume receiving monthly security and quality updates for the duration of that version’s servicing timeline.
