    Hi Frank,

In Classic Outlook, synchronization with iCloud relies on the iCloud for Windows integration and the iCloud Outlook Add-in. If any part of this connection becomes interrupted or misconfigured, calendar updates may stop syncing between the two platforms.

Please try the following steps to troubleshoot the issue:

    1. Verify iCloud settings
      • Open the iCloud for Windows application.
      • Ensure that Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks is enabled.

    1. Check the iCloud Outlook Add-in

The iCloud Outlook Add-in transfers your content between iCloud and Outlook. Follow these steps in Outlook 2010 and later to check and turn on the Add-in:

    • Select the File menu.
    • Select Options in the left panel.
    • Select Add-ins in the left panel of the Outlook Options window.
    • Look at the list of add-ins in the Active Application Add-ins section. If the iCloud Add-in is listed under Inactive or Disabled Add-ins, make sure that Com Add-ins is selected in the drop-down menu next to Manage at the bottom of the window. Then select Go.
    • Select the iCloud Outlook Add-in checkbox, then select OK.
    • Restart Outlook.
    1. Make sure that iCloud isn’t your default account in Data Files

When iCloud is set as your default account in Data Files, your data won't sync between your devices.

    • Select File > Info > Account Settings > Data Files.
    • If iCloud is listed as the default account in the Comments column, select a different account.
    • Select Set as Default.

After you've tried these steps, restart your computer.

    1. Manually update the calendar
      • In Outlook, go to the Send/Receive tab and click Update Folder to force synchronization. User's image

Additionally, you may check the Sync Issues folder in Outlook for any reported errors, as this can provide further insight into why the calendar may not be updating.

Open Outlook and press Ctrl+6 to switch to the Folder List view so every mailbox folder is visible.

In the left pane expand your mailbox and open Sync Issues. You will see its subfolders Conflicts, Local Failures, and Server Failures. Open one of these folders, press Ctrl+A to select all items, then press Delete to move them to Deleted Items. Repeat for the other Sync Issues subfolders.

To complete the cleanup, right click Deleted Items and choose Empty Folder. If you prefer to permanently remove the items in one step, select them and press Shift+Delete instead.

Note: This cleanup is safe. Items in Sync Issues are local logs and problem copies and deleting them does not remove your actual email on the server.

If you cannot find Sync Issues, make sure the Folder Pane is set to Normal under the View tab, then press Ctrl+6 again.

I hope this provides enough clarity and helps you stay inform with your current situation.

To restore iCloud calendar sync with Outlook for Windows, follow these steps in order:

    1. Confirm iCloud for Windows is installed and configured
      • Open the iCloud for Windows app.
      • Sign in with the Apple ID if prompted.
      • Ensure Contacts and Calendars is checked, then select Apply.
      • After it completes, open Outlook and check whether the iCloud calendar appears and syncs.
    2. Make sure Outlook is the default app for calendar protocols Problems can occur if calendar/mail protocols are not associated with Outlook.
      • In Windows, go to Start > Settings > Apps > Default apps.
      • Select Set defaults by app.
      • Find Outlook in the list, select it, then choose Manage.
      • For each related file type/protocol, ensure it is associated with Outlook. If any are not, change them to Outlook.
      • Close Settings.
    3. Repair Office/Outlook
      • Open Settings > Apps > Installed apps (or Programs and Features in Control Panel, depending on Windows version).
      • Select Microsoft 365/Office, then choose Modify.
      • Run Online Repair (preferred) or Repair, following the on‑screen steps.
      • Restart the PC when the repair completes.
      • After restart, open iCloud for Windows again and verify that it can sync Mail, Contacts, and Calendars, then open Outlook and test calendar sync.
    4. Ensure a supported iCloud for Windows version
      • If using an older iCloud for Windows build with Outlook 2016 or later, install a supported version such as iCloud for Windows 5.1 or later, which adds support for Office 2016 and fixes known sync issues. See Download iCloud for Windows.

If calendar items still do not sync after these steps, remove and re‑add the iCloud account in iCloud for Windows, re‑enable Contacts and Calendars, then restart Outlook and test again.
