Question

Good day,

I tried to log in into Microsoft when trying to access Excell. How do I register/enroll my device ?

If you have a valid Microsoft 365 subscription, if you log into your Microsoft account on this link, do you find your subscription listed there, and if so, are you able to download and install the Office apps on your PC from your account there.

To register/enroll a Windows 11 device so it can use a work or school account (for apps like Excel), follow these steps on the device:

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select Access work or school.
4. Select Connect.
5. In Add a work or school account, enter the email address for the work or school account, then select Next.
6. Sign in with the work or school username and password.
7. Complete any additional steps, such as two-step verification or setting up Windows Hello, if prompted.

After this, the device is registered on the organization’s network and can access restricted resources (such as Microsoft 365 apps like Excel) using that account.

To verify registration:

1. Open Settings.
2. Select Accounts.
3. Select Access work or school and confirm the work or school account appears in the list.

If instead the goal is to register the device with a personal Microsoft account (for warranty/support and general Microsoft sign-in):

1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices in a browser and sign in with the personal Microsoft account.
2. If the device is not listed, select Register device and follow the prompts (for most Windows 11 PCs, the device is added automatically when signing in with that Microsoft account on the device).
