Microsoft Teams Loop Component pasting issues

I use the loop components on a daily basis, as an indicator to see if I need to have a standing meeting with my account team or not. I always have 4 columns: Account Person, a label column which gives a yes or no option to pick, details on what the account person wants to talk about, and then who the client would be. Then there are 8 rows for each account person's name.

Last week, and all previous weeks before, I was able to copy all the names from the previous day's loop and paste them into the current day's loop. This week, that is not the case. I am having to paste the name of each person in after creating 8 rows. I have tried to add the 8 rows, and then do one big paste of names, but it still won't paste the 8 names.

Was something updated recently to not allow for mass pasting?

I also tried to use the feature of "copy table" from the previous day, but after copying the table it won't past into the current day's loop.

    Dear @Kris VanWinkle,

    I hope you’re having a good day.

Thank you for sharing the details.

From your description, I understand that you regularly use Loop tables in Teams and that, until recently, you were able to copy an entire list of names (or even an entire table) from a previous day's Loop and paste it into a new one. However, this week that workflow no longer behaves as expected, requiring you to enter the names one at a time.

To better understand the issue and avoid making assumptions, I tried to reproduce a similar scenario in my own environment using both Teams Desktop and Teams Web. I tested several variations, including:

    • Copying multiple rows from one Loop table and pasting them into another Loop table.
    • Copying an entire Loop table using the available copy options and pasting it into a new Loop component.
    • Copying multiple rows from another source and pasting them into a Loop table.

In my testing, these scenarios continued to work as expected. I was able to paste multiple rows at once and copy table content into a new Loop component without any issues.

Because of that, I'm not currently seeing evidence that the functionality has been removed generally, and I'd like to understand a little more about your specific scenario.

Could you please let me know:

    1. Does the issue occur in both Teams Desktop and Teams Web?
    2. When you paste, does nothing happen, or is only part of the content pasted?
    3. Are you copying from another Loop table, or from a specific Loop component that has been reused for some time?
    4. Does the problem occur with all Loop tables, or only with a particular one?

In addition, could you try creating a brand-new Loop table and test the same workflow:

    1. Create a new Loop table in the same chat.

    • Add several rows of sample data.
    • Create a second new Loop table.
    • Try copying and pasting the rows or the entire table.

    2. If possible, please also repeat the test in a new chat and let me know whether the behavior is the same there.

A screenshot or short screen recording of what happens during the paste operation would also be very helpful.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I look forward to your update.

    Warm regards,
