Hi. I'm David, and I'm happy to help you.

I suggest downloading and installing the free version of the TreeSize app.

    https://www.jam-software.com/treesize_free

Then right-click the application shortcut, select "Run as administrator", select the drive to be scanned, and wait for the scan to finish.

Share a screenshot of the TreeSize scan result. Use the shortcut "Windows + Shift + S" to use the screenshot tool.

    Looking forward to your reply.

Follow these steps in Windows 11 to fix the low disk space error and free up space:

    1. Check how much space is really left
      1. Press Windows key + E to open File Explorer.
      2. Select This PC on the left.
      3. Look under Devices and drives to see how much free space is on Local Disk (C:) and any other drives.
    2. Turn on and use Storage Sense (automatic cleanup)
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Storage.
      2. Turn Storage Sense to On so Windows can automatically remove temporary and other unnecessary files when space is low.
      3. In the same page, use Cleanup recommendations (if shown) to review and delete temporary files, large or unused files, and unused apps.
    3. Clear Microsoft Store cache (can fix sudden space usage)
      1. Press Windows key + R.
      2. Type wsreset.exe and select OK.
      3. A blank Command Prompt opens, then closes after a few seconds, and Microsoft Store opens. This clears the Store cache, which can free space if it was filling the Temp folder.
    4. Fix low disk space caused by a full Temp folder If the Temp folder is filling up with app files from Microsoft Store:
      1. Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters.
      2. Next to Windows Store Apps, select Run.
      3. Go back to Other troubleshooters, next to Windows Update, select Run.
      4. Restart the PC and check if the low disk space warning is gone.
    5. Free up space with Disk Cleanup (if needed)
      1. Select Search on the taskbar and type Disk Cleanup.
      2. Open Disk Cleanup and choose drive C:.
      3. Select the check boxes for file types to delete (for example Temporary files, Temporary Internet Files, Recycle Bin, Windows Update Cleanup), then select OK and confirm Delete files.
    6. Move or save personal files to another drive If C: is still nearly full but another drive or external disk has space:
      1. Move large personal files (videos, pictures, documents) from C: to another drive or external USB drive.
      2. To save new files to another drive automatically:
        • Go to Start > Settings > System > Storage > Advanced storage settings > Where new content is saved.
        • For each content type (documents, music, pictures, etc.), choose a different drive that has more free space.
    7. Use OneDrive Files On-Demand (optional) Turn on OneDrive Files On-Demand so only placeholders are stored locally and full files stay in the cloud, which can free local disk space. For details, see Save disk space with OneDrive Files On-Demand for Windows in the referenced article.

After doing these steps, try scanning again. If the error still appears, check This PC to confirm that the system drive (usually C:) now shows enough free space.
