    Hi

I understand that you want to change the order of email accounts in new Outlook for Windows.

Currently, new Outlook for Windows does not provide an option to manually reorder the top-level email accounts in the left navigation pane. The full account list itself cannot currently be rearranged in the same way as in classic Outlook. Meanwhile, please try the following steps:

    • In new Outlook, right-click the Inbox (or main folder) of the account you use most often.
    • Select Add to Favorites.
    • Repeat this for the other accounts you want quick access to.
    • In the Favorites section at the top of the folder pane, drag the folders into the order you prefer.

You can also organize folders within each account by using custom folder order:

    • Go to Mail.
    • Select View > Folder pane > Custom folder order.
    • Drag the folder to the position you want, or right-click it and choose Move up or Move down.

New Outlook supports custom folder ordering for folders, but some special folders—such as Search, Shared with me, and In-place archive—cannot be moved. Reference: Change the order of folders in the Folder Pane in Outlook | Microsoft Support

If you specifically need to reorder the actual account list itself, I recommend submitting feedback via: In new Outlook, go to Help > Feedback.

Thank you for your understanding! Have a nice day.

In Outlook (including new Outlook for Windows), the order of email accounts in the left folder pane is controlled by the folder arrangement, not by an explicit “account order” setting. Accounts and their folders can be reordered by customizing the folder pane.

    In new Outlook for Windows:

    1. Go to Mail.
    2. On the ribbon, select the View tab.
    3. Select Folder pane, then choose Custom folder order.
    4. In the folder list, select and hold the account or folder you want to move, then drag and drop it to the desired position.
      • Alternatively, right‑click the folder and choose Move up or Move down.

If the folders have been rearranged and need to be reset alphabetically instead of custom order:

    1. On the View tab, select Sort Folders (or Folder pane depending on client).
    2. Choose Order folders A to Z.
    3. To go back to a custom order later, re‑select Custom folder order from the Folder pane dropdown.

Note: Some special folders such as Search, Shared with me, and In-place archive cannot be moved and always appear at the end of the account’s folder list.
