Hello!

I have already reinstalled Windows so I am not looking for a fix and this is for educational purpose for me, but I am curious to see if anyone can see what caused the DRIVER_VERIFIER_DMA_VIOLATION BSODs. One of them shows an Outlook.exe as the process but most of them seems to be system files. I have the dump files shared here

for anyone that can review them that can spot what has been causing this issue? I do not have Driver Verifier turned on either and this is only happened to 1 user.

Thank you!

Many times the cause of a BSOD cannot be identified.

In four crashes there were no misbehaving drivers.

In one of the crashes there were multiple drivers seen in the crash.

It appears that there was a conflict between hitman pro and Sophos.

    The misbehaving drivers were:

    sntp
    hmpalert
    sophosED

The Dell Latitude BIOS is 1.2.15

Thank you for the reply. As I mentioned I ended up doing a clean install and updated all firmware and so far there has been no issues since.

This has been the only time I had an issue with Sophos like this so that will be something I will look in the future.

    Thank you!
