Failed Student Verification

​I am writing to request assistance with verifying my student status for the Azure for Students program. I am currently an engineering student at the Chennai Institute of Technology.

​When attempting to complete the academic validation process, I encounter an error screen preventing me from proceeding. The system displays a message stating, "Sorry but our systems are a detecting a problem with your account and are unable to validate your access."

This error usually means the Azure for Students academic verification could not validate the account automatically. Microsoft Q&A users cannot manually approve or verify student status.

Please try the below checks:

Use the official Azure for Students sign-up page: https://azure.microsoft.com/free/students

Sign up using your official college email address, not a personal email.

Try again from an InPrivate/incognito browser window and clear cached Microsoft sign-ins.

Avoid repeated attempts in a short time, as account verification systems may temporarily block validation.

If it still fails, contact Azure billing/subscription support and provide:

Microsoft documentation says Azure for Students requires the student to attend an accredited, degree-granting institution as a full-time student and verify academic status through the organization’s email address.
