Use Windows Update and the official Surface driver package to install drivers for Surface Pro (11th Edition).

1. Prepare the Surface
   • Plug in the Surface and make sure the battery is at least 40%.
   • Connect to a stable internet connection.
   • If using accessories (Type Cover, Surface Pen, Dock, etc.), connect them so they receive updates too.
2. Install drivers automatically (recommended)
   1. Open the Surface app (install it from Microsoft Store if it is not present).
   2. In the app, expand Help & support.
   3. Check the update status and select Check for updates. This opens Windows Update.
   4. In Settings > Windows Update, install all available updates.
   5. After that, search for View optional updates from the taskbar search box.
   6. Open View optional updates and under Driver updates, install all items that start with Surface.
   7. Restart the device when prompted.
3. Install drivers manually (if automatic update fails)
   1. Go to Download drivers and firmware for Surface.
   2. Select the Surface model (Surface Pro 11th Edition) from the dropdown.
   3. On the Download Center page that opens, select Download.
   4. Choose the .msi file that matches:
      • The Surface model, and
      • The Windows 11 build installed on the device (for example, a file like SurfacePro11_Win11_26100_...msi for build 26100).
      • If there is no exact match for the Windows build, choose the .msi whose build number is closest but still lower than the current build.
   5. Download the .msi, then open it and follow the on‑screen setup instructions.
   6. Restart the Surface after installation.
4. If updates still will not install
   • Use the Surface app again → Help & support → Check for updates.
   • If problems continue, in the Surface app select Get help and describe the issue so support can assist.

Note: Firmware updates cannot be uninstalled or rolled back; installing the latest package also includes all previous updates that apply to Surface Pro (11th Edition).
