Windows 11 already includes built-in security through Microsoft Defender Antivirus, Windows Firewall, and SmartScreen, so no, you do not need an additional third-party security suite, let alone both McAfee and HP Wolf Security.

Running multiple security products can create unnecessary background processes, duplicate alerts, and possible conflicts. For most home users, the simplest option is to uninstall McAfee, especially if it is only a trial, and allow Microsoft Defender to remain active. HP Wolf Security can also be removed unless you specifically want its additional HP security features or the computer is managed by an employer.

Nope - in general, you do not need both installed on your computer. Running two different security suites at the same time is typically discouraged because they will conflict with each other. Both programs will constantly compete for control over your files and computer tasks, which can severely slow down your system, cause frequent crashes, and trigger false alarms.

McAfee is a traditional, all-in-one antivirus program that often comes as a pre-installed trial on new computers. HP Wolf Security is a specialized suite of security tools built by HP that focuses on protecting your computer through secure web browsing and hardware-level isolation. Because they both try to monitor and protect your system simultaneously, keeping both active will do more harm than good to performance.

You should choose one of them and remove the other. You can safely uninstall McAfee or disable the overlapping parts of HP Wolf Security. In addition, note that Windows OS already comes with Windows Security, which is free of charge that provides comparable protection.
