Check the refund status and timing as follows:

    1. Verify that the refund was actually issued
      • Go to your Microsoft account Order history page: Open Order history.
      • Find the Microsoft 365 (often called “Microsoft 365” rather than “Office 360”) subscription.
      • If the subscription was eligible and a refund was processed, the order line will show a refund entry and its status.
      • If there is no refund entry, the cancellation may have been outside the refund eligibility period, or the refund was not approved.
    2. Check normal processing time
      • If Order history shows that a refund was issued, but the money is not in the bank or card yet, wait a few more days; banks and payment providers can take several days to post the credit after Microsoft issues it.
    3. Confirm how and where the subscription was purchased
      • If the subscription was purchased directly from Microsoft, eligibility and processing follow Microsoft’s refund rules. Not all subscriptions are eligible for a refund.
      • If it was purchased through a third party (for example, Google Play or Apple App Store), Microsoft cannot process the refund. In that case, request the refund directly from the retailer:
    4. If there is still no refund after these checks
      • If Order history does not show a refund entry, or the status has not changed after a long time, contact Microsoft Support so an agent can review the subscription and billing on the account and advise on next steps.
