You may be using Word for the web in a browser. That version does not support VBA macros. To use VBA, you will need the desktop edition of Word for Windows.

    Hi!

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

You can try a shortcut by pressing Alt + F + T (this should bring up the Options menu).

If this will not open options kindly provide the following so I can further check it.

What version of Word are you using? (Word 365, Word 2021, Word 2024, etc.)

Is it installed on your PC, or are you using Word in a web browser?

Can you provide a screenshot of what appears after clicking File

In Word (and other Office apps), the Options command is there, but it can be easy to miss because it is at the very bottom of the File menu.

To get to the macro settings:

    1. Open Word.
    2. Select File.
    3. Scroll all the way down the left-hand menu and select Options (it is below Close / Account / Feedback, depending on your version).
    4. In the Word Options dialog, select Trust Center.
    5. Select Trust Center Settings….
    6. Select Macro Settings.
    7. Choose the macro option needed (for example, Disable all macros with notification so macros can be enabled case‑by‑case), then select OK.

If Options still does not appear, check that Word is not in a restricted environment (for example, a special runtime or a heavily locked-down configuration), because in normal desktop Word the Options entry is always at the bottom of the File menu.
